The Midsummer Night Swing kicks off tonight at Lincoln Center! With such beautiful weather, it might be a good idea to learn some dance lessons and show off those killer moves.
Running every day from today to July 14, the Midsummer Night Swing is the ideal choice for all people who enjoy music and dance, as the event features live bands who bring such infectious rhythms. The act also offers special kids’ days, on which the children are welcomed to learn their first steps from the top dance teachers.
Past live performances include the Count Basie Orchestra, Margi & the Dapper Dots and David Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, so wait to be surprised at this year’s event. The music runs the gamut, with disco, jump blues, samba and tango, big-band swing and old-school salsa. Guess it’s time to put on your dancing shoes and swing with your favorite person under the lovely summer sky.
