A Watch For All Time: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Anniversary Exhibition

Audemars Piguet is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its celebrated Royal Oak watch with a lavish book and a traveling exhibition that debuts at the Park Avenue Armory on March 21.

Launched in 1875, Switzerland-based Audemars Piguet is the last fine watchmaker still in the hands of its founding families. Released in 1972, the Royal Oak model, according to the company, was “the world’s first ever luxury sports timepiece which sparked a complete paradigm shift in the watch industry.”

The exhbit will feature an artistic presentation of 100 Audemars Piguet watches and runs for just four days.
