Across The Pond: Brit-Based LK Bennett Opens At Columbus Circle

English brand L.K Bennett, a favorite of Kate and Pippa, has come across the pond and opened its first New York store. East Siders will have to cross a pond to get to it, though — the Central Park pond, that is. The store is scheduled to open April 1 at the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle.

Founded in London in 1990, L.K.Bennett has  established itself as an accessible luxury brand, offering stylish collections of women’s shoes, ready-to-wear, handbags and accessories. It originally made a name for itself with signature shoe styles, such as the wedge favored by Kate Middleton:

Here’s a company-provided description of its first New York store:

Centered on beautiful fashion design, the sophisticated persona of L.K.Bennett collections is reflected in this 2100 square foot boutique, one of L.K.Bennett’s largest stores. Located on the second floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle, the store is set against a powder pink backdrop and delicate beige woodwork, rich woolen carpets and bespoke niche details. Distinctive and atmospheric, the store invites the customer in to admire the colorful spring/summer 2012 collections now available.
