International luxury shoe brand Alexandre Berman is beginning its U.S. expansion with its first brick-and-mortar location opening in New York City this Wednesday, May 16. In tandem with the opening, the brand will launch e-commerce on its website, AlexandreBirman.com. One of the first items to be available on the website will be a limited edition Met Gala inspired heel, as seen on model/actress, Kate Upton, Alexandre Birman’s date for the evening.
The new store sits in prime Upper East Side shopping real estate at 957 Madison Ave. between 75th and 76th Streets. The 600-square-foot space features accents of walnut, offset with clean white walls and tables. Inspired by Brazilian mid-Century design, the store will feature the latest of the designer’s collections including iconic staples alongside fashion-forward runway silhouettes. Clients will also be able to customize their shoes in store and have them made to order. Alexandre Birman also has plans to open a second retail location in the prestigious Bal Harbor, Florida area in Fall 2018. The Bal Harbor store will have similar walnut and gold accents as the New York location.
“Now in our 10th year, I am happy that the brand continues to enjoy success and growth globally. It has always been a goal to expand our business in the United States and I’m glad we’re able to take that step today,” stated Alexandre Birman, CEO and designer. About e-commerce, Birman continued by saying, “Our goal is to continually connect with our customers and fans, and this gives us another avenue to do so.”
