American Cut is celebrating its 52-week anniversary with a 52-ounce porterhouse. I repeat: a 52-ounce porterhouse.
The restaurant, which opened in the heart of TriBeCa in September 2013, has earned a reputation among the greats—a traditional steakhouse with flair. I mean, where else serves a filet mignon, topped with bone marrow or foie gras or lobster?
The 52-ounce porterhouse—as presented by chef Marc Forgione—exemplifies the decadence of American Cut. Prepared at your table, the plate includes a flambéed maître d’ butter sauce. And don’t forget about sides like dry-aged potatoes with bacon and mushrooms, twice-baked potato with New York cheddar and truffles, carrot-glazed carrot with mint and Maldon salt, cauliflower with “sauce proposal,” and wild mushrooms with grilled polenta.
For dessert? The Cracker Jack sundae with popcorn-flavored ice cream. You’ll be tempted to eat 52 of them…
American Cut is at 363 Greenwich Street in New York, New York. To make a reservation, call 212.226.4736 or visit www.americancutsteakhouse.com.
