Bagatelle is Back

An MPD former favorite is finally back!  This past June, the Meatpacking District re-welcomed the highly esteemed restaurant, Bagatelle New York.  With locations in Los Angeles, St. Barth’s, and Las Vegas, the reopening of the flagship location was inevitable.  The St. Tropez-style open floorplan as well as French Mediterranean cuisine brings back the European flare that the neighborhood was missing.

The menu features a variety dishes ranging everywhere from Gambas Flambées au Pastis à la Provencale (prawns flamed with pastis, provencal sauce, and steamed jasmine rice) to Carré d’Agneau Rôti en Croûte d’Herbes (herbs encrusted rack of lamb, haricot verts, and lamb jus).  Whether you fancy seafood, poultry, or beef, there’s something on the menu for you.  On top of the individual entrées, there is also a section on the menu with a couple dishes for two– one that stands out is La Pêche du Jour (the fish of the day) which is described on the menu as “depending on the sea… catch of the day; fish for two, three, four.” Bagatell is definitely a favorite among foodies as well as celebrities–  Blake Lively, Jay-Z, and Beyonce have all been spotted dining here in the past few months.

In addition to the mouth watering menu, Bagatelle offers a host of creative cocktails inspired by the South of France.  After a quick glance at the menu (pictured below), two particularly appealing cocktails are the Kumquat Caipiroska and the Girl from Lima.

Oh, and how dare we forget the super fun summer brunches here every Saturday and Sunday.  Word on the the ave is that patrons must make reservations well in advance to take part in the Saturday and Sunday midday antics, for walk-ins are rarely allowed.  Even though Bagatelle won’t be going anywhere for a while, you should definitely go make your next dinner (or brunch) reservations here!
