This December, Casa de Campo Resorts & Villas, a 7,000-acre slice of paradise in the Dominican Republic’s La Romana and a Leading Hotel of the World, will celebrate the holidays with a series of special Christmas events that promise to bring tidings of comfort and joy to its guests. With its four Pete Dye-designed golf courses (including the renowned Teeth of the Dog), championship polo fields and equestrian rings, pristine tennis courts, state-of-the-art shooting center, luxurious spa, gourmet restaurants, white sand beaches, and swimming pools, the compound offers an unmatched getaway for couples and families alike. And soon, these offerings that help to make Casa de Campo so special will be transformed for an unforgettable holiday experience—making the resort all the merrier for this magical time of year.
On December 6th, a tree-lighting ceremony and Christmas concert with the Juan Pablo Duarte Symphonic Orchestra at the famous Altos de Chavón—a replica of a 16th century Mediterranean style village located atop the Chavón River—will kick off the festivities. Throughout the month, Altos de Chavón will also invite guests to enjoy other activities suitable for all ages, from Christmas-themed cookie decorating and arts and crafts, to live musical performances at both the nearby Genesis Nightclub and Altos Amphitheater, including an appearance from Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki.
Christmas Eve dinner specials will be offered at each of the resort’s eight restaurants, including Pubbelly Sushi, Italian spot La Piazzetta, the brand new Chilango Taqueria, and Minitas Beach Club, which serves Mediterranean cuisine overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Later in the evening, Christmas carols can be enjoyed at Altos de Chavón, followed by Midnight Mass at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Mass will also be held the next morning, followed by a large celebration featuring a concert of traditional Dominican carols performed by the Armonia Choir, a visit from Santa Claus with goodies, and a toast with traditional ginger tea. And the festivities don’t end after the 25th—live performances will be on tap in most of the restaurants for New Year’s Eve, with fireworks at midnight at Plaza Chavón, and DJed music all night long at Minitas Beach to ring in the new year.
Everyone—young or old, naughty or nice—deserves a trip to Casa de Campo this December, the perfect Caribbean destination to say “feliz navidad!” and celebrate the New Year with family, friends, or significant others. With its dazzling decorations and endless treats and activities, Casa de Campo promises a holiday celebration unlike any other.
