Whatever the temperature—one million degrees?—it will feel like autumn when you peep the latest from Mark Cross.
The brand—founded in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1845 as a maker of harnesses and saddles—is rooted in a tradition of classic, even preppy, style. This tradition was bolstered in 1934 when Grace Kelly packed a Mark Cross case in Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.
Today, we’re having a “Love Story” (ha) with confections in colors like luggage, plum, and racing green (cue scene of a college campus, where boxy bags with gold hardware are the new backpack). Do you feel the crunch of leaves under your feet yet?
