Meet the 2010 CFDA finalists

Last year's winner, Sophie Theallet, admiring her desert red dress on model Chanel Iman.

This year’s ten finalists for the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue Fashion Fund have just been set. The emerging designer who is chosen for the first-place award will win $200,000 and the opportunity to study under some of the most esteemed designers in the industry; the two second-place prizes are $50,000 each. Each finalist is being asked to create a unique look for Ann Taylor and take part in a fashion show underwritten by Frédéric Fekkai on October 19th at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. According to WWD, the judging committee will pay a visit to each of the designers’ studios to examine their latest collections and judge the Ann Taylor project before deciding a winner on November 15th. Until then, Quest congratulates the designers and wishes them the best of luck!
