Olympic O’Hare Tote from WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie

Byron & Dexter Peart of WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie get festive with their new collection of O’Hare city totes.  What’s the occasion, you ask?  None other than the 2012 Summer Olympics happening right now in London Town.  Ralph Lauren may have designed the opening ceremony uniforms for team USA, but those of us who aren’t competing in the games can still show our Olympic love– and national pride– with one of these limited edition totes.

After seeing the bags all over the internet, Quest finally had the opportunity to see them in person on a recent trip to Barneys New York relatively new shoe floor (they’re right around the corner when you step off of the escalator, in case you were wondering).  Staying true to the WANT standard of quality, the bags are crafted using full grain leather from French and Italian tanneries, organic cotton from some of the finest Turkish mills, and organic (and biodegradable) dyes.  Speaking of the dyes, these fine bags are available in six different colorways which represent the Olympic colors.  For a slight pop, they feature contrasting leather bottoms which definitely make the bags stand out– if the bold colors didn’t already.  They’re perfect for school, work, or even just for simple day-to-day needs.

The bags are sold in stores and online at Barneys New York, and for those of you who can’t geet to Barneys anytime soon, online boutique Mr. Porter also carries them.
