The Surrey’s Private Rooftop to Open for Labor Day Weekend

For one weekend only, The Surrey will be open its private Upper East Side roof garden and bar up to a select few members of the public. Earlier this summer, The Surrey and Dom Pérignon unveiled the redesigned rooftop, timed to the launch of the Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2006. The hotel’s exclusive rooftop has been transformed into an alluring rose garden, blanketed with a lush faux lawn, lined by flower beds overflowing with fragrant, flowering mint, and blooming hellebores in shades of green and white, punctuated by the sculptural spears of foxglove with beautiful pink blossoms. To celebrate the partnership, Dom Pérignon and Café Boulud at The Surrey have also created a special menu of perfect pairings with Dom Pérignon Rosé, including foie gras terrine with pickled celery and rhubarb, a fresh Hamachi tartare featuring tonnato verde sauce, radishes and celtuce, and a delectable shrimp toast, a Chinese Dim Sum staple.

The idyllic rooftop experience, normally closed off to those in residence and members of the Patrons Club, will be offering a limited amount of four-day passes over Labor Day weekend. With sweeping views of New York City’s skyline, the weekend at The Surrey’s  rooftop garden will offer guests an intimate retreat to take in the final days of summer. 

Passes are available for purchase at $500 per couple, and include entry to the private roof from Friday, August 30th to Monday, September 2nd. Guests will have full access to The Surrey’s Private Rosé Garden all weekend, complete with refreshing cocktails as well as the option to book Café Boulud’s specially curated menu pairings.
