What happens when two uber-stylish names join forces? In this case: a collection of effortlessly chic summer apparel. Late last month, Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, co-designers of Veronica Beard, along with creative director and author of Classic Style: Hand It Down, Dress It Up, Wear It Up, Kate Schelter, were honored to host an inspired brunch and book signing at Veronica Beard on Madison Avenue to celebrate their collaboration collection.
The hosts were joined by New York elite to toast the six-piece capsule collection which features Schelter’s yellow and green daisy watercolor print on light-as-air silks in classic Veronica Beard silhouettes. To celebrate the launch and welcome the guests, Schelter’s signature watercolors were installed in a gallery-style format throughout the store and a whimsical floral installation by Floratorium decorated the storefront and entryway.
Upon arrival, guests enjoyed light brunch bites by Pinch Food Design, and as a tribute to the collection, a special basil lemonade topped with tiny white and green edible flowers.
The Veronica Beard x Kate Schelter collection embodies the co-designers and sisters-in-law’s passion for bridging art and fashion with thoughtfully designed apparel, as well as the brand’s concept of delivering glamour built for real life.
“We have always admired Kate’s beautiful work and are excited for our customers to enjoy her illustrations through this collaboration,” said Veronica Swanson Beard. Added Veronica Miele Beard, “These pieces embody everything that is fun and feminine about our brand.”
The VB x Kate Schelter collection, with prices from $168 to $795, is now at Veronica Beard, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman.
