"My God, My God...The 3 Stock Traders," by Michelle Rogers

Today Wall Street bankers may be looking their financial fears face to face, thanks to artist Michelle Rogers‘s new “urban poster project,” My God, My God…The 3 Stock Traders, on Broad Street, next to the New York Stock Exchange. The oil-painted posters depict three traders in varying states of anxiety as they watch declining numbers flash on the screens above them. The piece, which was previously shown at the Venice Biennale, blends the diverse influences of Titian, the Italian Old Master who painted portraits of frightened figures looking up toward the heavens, and British street artist Banksy.
