Nancy and her husband, ADDF Honorary Board member Mel Goodes, established the Melvin R. Goodes Prize for Excellence in Alzheimer’s Drug Development in 2015, which is awarded annually to a scientist who is pursuing novel research and making a significant and lasting impact in the field of Alzheimer’s drug development.

The 70th Winter Show

The Winter Show is the première art, antiques, and design fair in America, featuring many of the world's top experts in the fine and decorative arts. The Fair was established in the mid-1950s as a benefit for East Side House Settlement and, by the end of that decade, had firmly established itself as the leading event of its kind in the United States. East Side House is a community-based organization serving the Bronx and Northern Manhattan; its programs focus on education and technology as gateways out of poverty and as the keys to economic opportunity. All ticket sales proceeds from the Show provide unrestricted funds for East Side House's life-changing programs.

The 70th edition of The Winter Show will be held in the historic Park Avenue Armory where a breadth of works spanning 5,000 years will be presented by over 68 internationally renowned dealers. Myriad works from paintings and works on paper, fine furniture, and design, to jewelry, and contemporary ceramics and glass will be on view. On Monday, December 11th, the Stephen & Christine Schwarzman Animal Medical Center will host its annual Top Dog Gala, at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year’s event will honor Trustee Emilia Saint-Amand Krimendahl with the Top Dog award in recognition of her longstanding commitment to AMC through her service on the Board, her generosity to the Gift of Love capital campaign, and her passion for the health and well-being of animals. Proceeds from Top Dog enable AMC to pursue its mission of providing collaborative and world-class care to animals and leading the advancement of veterinary medicine through innovative clinical research and education. Funds raised also support the Compassionate Programs and Charitable Funds, which provide free and subsidized care for pets whose owners may not be able to afford such care.

The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s 37th Annual Miracle on Madison Avenue will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th streets. For every purchase made at participating boutiques, restaurants, and galleries*, 20% will benefit The Society of MSK’s initiatives at MSK Kids, the pediatric program at MSK.
